Wanting to empower everybody to feel as confident when they wake up as they do when they leave her salon, SILKE London’s founder Maria Satiriou developed her strand-saving selection after tiring of battling her own tresses issues. Waking up to unruly lengths and broken strands, she realised that the harsh friction of hair on cotton pillows was causing her strand stress. After experimenting with a plethora of fabrics and materials, SILKE London was born with its collection of 100% Mulberry silk wraps, hair ties and heatless curlers.

After noticing her pillow was full of broken strands and her mane was far from tamed, London based hair stylist Maria Sotiriou realised that it was what she was sleeping on that had the biggest impact to the look of her lengths. Having worked in the hair industry for over 32 years and after trying a plethora of products, treatments and trends, nothing seemed to help her locks grow, maintain its style and prevent damage quite like wrapping it in 100% silk. After realising the success of the SILKE London hair wraps had on consumer’s locks, Maria’s daughter Christine left her finance career and joined her mother to further develop the brand — launching more heroes that prioritised hair health.
