  • African Botanics Marula Firming Botanical Body Oil

Image 1 of 1

A thoroughly modern, all-natural range inspired by old African beauty rituals, African Botanics harnesses the skin-replenishing properties of Marula oil – the world’s most antioxidant-rich oil. Founded by Craig and Julia Noik – both originally from South Africa – the couple came across Marula on their travels through their native country, and Julia – having recently given birth – was amazed by the speed with which the oil repaired her ‘stretched’, post-pregnancy skin. In fact, the pair were so impressed by its skin-strengthening performance, they persuaded a South African laboratory to analyse its properties – and were bowled over by the findings. Marula oil has incredibly potent antioxidant stability and stars 78% omega 9 to fortify skin’s fabric, reverse signs of damage and protect against ageing effects of free radicals – which is why it is the cornerstone of this exquisite range of face and body treatments.
To restore suppleness, elasticity and tone, apply AM/PM. Smooth onto damp skin after a shower or bath. Massage with upward circular movements until absorbed to obtain velvety skin, boost circulation and oxygenate skin. Enjoy a pleasant and intense feeling of relaxation and well-being. For best results, exfoliate with Marula Detoxifying Salt & Sugar Body Scrub 1-2 times per week.
This omega and nutrient-rich dry oil instantly boosts moisture levels, reducing signs of damage and skin-ageing inflammation. This helps to enhance ‘stretch’ and elasticity to improve texture, tone and firmness – a must have for all those whose skin is beginning to betray its age, or to support skin’s resilience during pregnancy. Starring wild-harvested Marula oil - renowned for its (virtually unparalleled) free radical-scavenging properties – alongside pinotage grape seed oil, this delectable body treatment promotes collagen synthesis and provides both corrective and preventative action against the main causes of loss of firmness – enhancing elasticity, boosting moisture-retention, counteracting sun damage and fortifying skin’s fabric.

Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula Seed Oil)**, Vitis Vinifera (Grape Seed Oil)**, Aspalathus linearis (Green Rooibos Tea extract), Cyclopia (Honeybush extract). ** Certified Organic.

I'm using this oil on my tummy after having a baby. It smells so lovely and does a great job! Highly recommended.

    Nice smell.

It is so funny how different we all are! I really like the scent! It is sweet and nice and I even wanted to buy another bottle of this only because of this smell. Actually their stretch mark oil smells really awful, like someone who smokes.

    Lovely oil, terrible smell

This is an absolutely lovely oil, good quality ingredients in beautiful packaging. My only gripe, and it's a big one, is the scent. It has a cloyingly sweet/nutty smell that really put me off it. The INCI says it's a natural perfume and I believe that, but the scent ruined it for me.
