I bought the Muse shower cap by Shhhowercap and it is a beautifully designed item. It is the best cap I have tried so far and I have tried many. All others are inferior to this product. Although I do have some mild criticisms, I shall be buying another one; this time monochrome ’The Kent’. Pros: The fabric is matte and has a great feel. The design of the fabric is lovely, extremely colourful (very true to the online image). It is breathable, the technology behind the fabric is quite amazing. It does seem to be almost entirely *waterproof. A lovely item to have in any chic bathroom. The best I have tried so far. Cons 1)*The hair right at the nape of my neck was slightly damp. The elastic portion of the band (at the rear) seems to produce a sort of capillary action that may be wicking water towards the inside. This may be prevented if the cap was pulled down lower at the back. Because of my hairstyle there was little room to do this. On feeling the cap a few hours after using it, it appears as though the main body of it is totally dry but the elastic seemed damp. it appears as though the brilliant tech fabric did not prevent the elastic from getting wet. The manufacturers might consider slightly more fabric on the crown to allow one to pull the cap slightly lower at the back or making the elasticated area smoother, less bunched and therefore less 'gappy’. I should add that this is a problem with all other elasticated shower caps and Shhhowercap have certainly minimised the problem more than any other company. Another possible solution would be if one could pull the cap tight with a velcro fastening as this would then remove the bunching and keep the ‘band’ area at the back flat. The cap is sewn with folds at the front which are aesthetically pleasing however you need to just shake the water droplets off before removing the cap. 2) The box was unnecessary packaging. It is lovely but in these times we need to reduce packaging on all products (one reason I like Cult Beauty which is pretty minimal in its delivery packaging). Shhhowercap could have dispatched it in a beautifully produced stiff envelop and perhaps the box could be a gift wrap item, it could then have been posted through letterboxes.

This product is good but I fear it is style over substance. it looks great! It is great quality and will hopefully last significantly longer than a traditional shower cap. It claims to be quieter than traditional shower caps but I couldn't notice a difference.
