Solved problems I didn't know I had
5 out of 5 stars
I bought this as part of a deal and was not especially optimistic: I am 62 years old and The Problem Solver sounded potentially drying and irritating, and not particularly anti-ageing. I fully expected to pass it on to my two twenty something children (combination skins with the odd breakout) whilst keeping the Honey Mud for myself. I was wrong. The Honey Mud is Ok but this mask is great; great for me and great for twenty somethings. It doesn't make my face red at all and I hardly feel a tingle. I tried mixing it with water first, which was fine, but the real eye opener was when I made my own mix using argan oil and raw honey (May suggests mixing it with the Honey Mud on her site, this was my cheaper alternative). Mixed like this, with enough water to liquify and make the mask spreadable, the end result doesn't dry completely, but after 45 mins you have a glossy glaze that wipes off with lukewarm water and a taupe flannel (use white and you will have to chuck it, the stain never washes out completely). We all love it: skin is smoother, less blotchy, more luminous, if you have blackheads and/or milia, it helps and in my case, some redder patches in my cheeks disappear for about 24 hrs. The only draw back is that it is quite messy and time consuming and be warned, without a mask brush I don't see how you would mix and apply this successfully.

Great mask that works
5 out of 5 stars
I received this face mask as a present along with the bowl and brush, and I use it probably every two to three weeks. I have very sensitive, dry, acneic skin and this mask has been brilliant for it. It helped clean out my large open pores, dried up angry boils and helped erase the fine lines on my forehead. It tingles for a bit when on your skin and I was expecting to wash it off and find my face bright red and sore, instead I was frilled to find it looked healthy and glowing! You only need to use about a teaspoon of the powder mixed with a bit of warm water to create enough mousse to cover your whole face and neck. Obviously since this product is a powder when you mix it together there will be a bit going up into the air, but just use your common sense and don't put your face right over the bowl whilst mixing. I don't know what I'd do without May Lindstrom's skin care range, it has really helped my skin for the better.

Cleansing mask
5 out of 5 stars
This mask lasts ages as only a very small amount is needed. It is very powdery, I have discovered the best method for mixing, over the sink is to use a teaspoon and place slightly less than a full teaspoon into a deep sided bowl and mix a teeny amount of water almost dribble by dribble until your desired consistency is achieved. It has a herby, green, fresh scent reminiscent of mossy forest floors and leaves skin feeling squeaky clean. Natural ingredients and the glass container guarantees that no harmful chemicals leach into the powder of course make this a premium product worth every penny.

Helps your face age
3 out of 5 stars
This line has very clever marketing and who doesn't love an organic pure line that promotes ritual skin care. The powder, like Clean Dirt powder has fine particles that go airborne and induced coughing spells as I used the brush and mixing bowl. The mousse does clarify and restore sluggish skin, but it is very drying and dehydrated my skin. I would have needed to mix product lines to rehydrate since the Youth Dew serum caused more problems.

“You gotta problem, yo, I’ll solve it”
5 out of 5 stars
It's rare to be able to bring the lovely lyrics of Vanilla Ice into reviews about skincare, but it makes a point. This solves problem skin! I love the ritual of this product, it’s important to take time out of your week to look after yourself away from the, frankly, needy demands of your phone. This is a powder mask, I love the use of raw cacao, charcoal, clays, frankincense, turmeric and warm spices that put right - the frankly needy demands of – my skin. When you mix it with water it puffs up and fizzes slightly to create a melted chocolate consistency that you paint on and leave for 40 minutes. You can feel it working as it gently warms your face and tingles, you can scare unsuspecting members of your family to teach them never to bother you in the bathroom again, or just sit in a hot bath and steeeeaam away your cares. The next day I wake up, head for the mirror waiting to pull the usual grimace and… don’t have to that much. It makes your skin look vibrant, the beginnings of pimples are stopped in their tracks and you find less make up is needed.
