After using retinol my skin got very red and sensitised. I've had this redness for months, not being able to get rid of it. I have sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. After cutting down on all actives and only using this serum every night, I felt immediate relief. The redness significantly reduced, my skin is glowing and appears smoother, post acne marks are fading faster and my breakouts have been under control. The serum has an oil lotion type of a consistency, but sinks in nicely. It has a distinctive smell due to tamanu oil, but I found it very pleasant - it is an earthy, nutty type of a smell which lingers on for a while before disappearing. Overly, I am really impressed with this serum.

This is my favourite barrier repairing serum! it instantly soothes my skin, i always come back to it. the only issue is the tamanu smell is very strong, but i can take it given how great it’s working on my skin. it’s quite oily so i only use it at night.
