The mirror is in principle a great idea and it's surprisingly hard to find a good makeup mirror with lights. The biggest issue is that the app just doesn't work. Other reviews of the app suggest it's a problem for android but I have also tried with apple and it still won't work. My issue and that of many others (check the reviews for the simple human app) is that my mirror won't connect to the app. Therefore I can't change the temperature of the light or use any of the smart features so for £200 it's very disappointing. Another problem I have is that moving slightly from the mirror causes it to turn off, when it turns back on again it does so with a different type of light e.g. brighter or duller, which is a bit random. I do find it easy to do my make up well in the mirror and it gives good precision. I couldn't find another mirror to replace my old Revlon one but at 100x more expensive than the Revlon mirror this is very far from a perfect replacement.
