This is a highlighter - both the outer ring and inner circle are highlighters. Not to be confused with the new Compact-Expert Dual Powders which have a satin/matte outer ring of powder and an inner circle of highlight. The highlighters in this compact are really beautiful - application gives an almost wet sheen to the skin. There is shimmer, but its micro-fine and illuminates the skin without the disco-ball effect . Use a light hand to start with as a little goes a long way and the highlighters are quite intense. I've given it 4 stars as the packaging is a little bit of a let down - whilst the bejewelled design on the lid is pretty, the compact itself is still plastic and lightweight (like the Dual Powder compacts). By Terry is a luxe brand and a more substantial compact would have been commensurate to the brand.
