The perfect one

This is really it! I tried so many cleanser but this is a keeper. Easy to use, soft and gentle to my skin and most important for me it does not dry my skin. I am in my forties and have very sensitive skin. Blond hair and blue eyes.

I enjoyed using the cleanser day and night for the first couple days, but then it started to make my skin really dry. So I won’t be repurchasing this again.

Love this cleanser

I really love this cleanser. My skin is very sensitive more dry and acne prone, it doesn't like the product that I am using at the moment as my skin becomes easily tight and red with irritations but after using this for about 2 months now nothing bad is happening. It is been the third cleanser that is on my list that I really like. Skin is smooth, bright, not dry at all. It is very gentle but it does the job. Strongly recommend it for the very demanding skins.

Does what is says but would I buy again? Probably not.

I was extremely excited about buying this cleanser after watching endless Shani facials on YouTube, but I must admit, it isn't anything special. This cleaner is a nice consistency and like it "says on the tin", it isn't drying, though I do still feel like I need to apply moisturiser right after, it doesn't leave the face tight. Packaging is very chic as I'm sure you can see. It does get rid of most makeup and doesn't sting the eyes so I guess that's something? I just don't feel like it was worth £32 and for that reason, I won't be buying it again. There are many cleansers out there that are equally as good for a third of the price.

Thumbs down I’m afraid...

Since Shu Uemura pulled out of the UK I’ve been desperately searching for a replacement for their amazing cleansing oils. I’ve got combination (combination/oily in the summer), acne prone, sensitive and mature skin and finding a cleanser that cleanses thoroughly and gently without aggravating my skin has always been an issue. I thought I’d give this cleanser a try because it’s supposed to be gentle and wouldn’t leave my skin feeling tight...fast forward to 3 days into use and my skin is incredibly dry, tight and flakey. My skin is now threatening to rebel and breakout. I’m very disappointed as I so wanted to love it but instead I’m going to have to pay a small fortune to have my beloved Shu cleansing oil shipped in from Japan again...
