Our skin goes through a LOT. From fluctuating weather to disruptive AC and heating to pollution and over-exfoliation, it’s no wonder that it can end up feeling irritated and depleted. That’s where Scientia’s Ceramide Skin Rescue Moisture Barrier Balm steps in…

Designed to drench skin in a cooling veil of soothing hydration, the comforting balm is powered by a medley of nourishing, barrier-boosting ingredients. A complex of five ceramides work to help protect and restore your skin’s natural barrier, while hyaluronic acid, fatty acids and lipids mimic your skin’s natural building blocks to lock in and retain moisture. An infusion of jojoba, watermelon, aloe, baobab and Kalahari melon extracts then helps to plump and smooth, revealing more supple, dewy and glowing skin.

Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin when skin is damaged, or use consistently as a serum moisturiser hybrid. No need to rinse. If skin barrier is compromised, make sure to remove retinols, acids or intense actives from your routine. For more stressed out skin, apply a thicker layer as an overnight mask.

Recycling information: aof the outer packaging is made with FSC card and printed with soy ink, to recycle place in your usual household recycling waste. The tube is made of aluminium, so is also fully recyclable, simply remove the cap before doing so.

    Scientia ceramide cream
    2 out of 5 stars
I love the packaging, retro and modern at the same time. I also like the texture, it is very soothing and cooling, and for the skin that is heated and irritated it is really nice. But it is just too sticky. Ceramide barrier cream is something I would love to use overnight but with this one it is not possible I would stick to the pillow right away.

    Skin Barrier Repair
    5 out of 5 stars
I started using this when I destroyed my skin barrier from over exfoliation and it helped repair my skin barrier. My skin has now fully recovered and I’m keeping it as part of my nightly routine to protect my skin when using actives. I use this as a serum and follow with a thicker moisturiser.
