This is an instant sunscreen for those with sensitive, greasy or combination skin or those who sweat a lot in the heat, as it won't leave you looking shiny like most creams. Instant Mineral is talc-free and transparent so it works on any skin tone. It also comes in portable packaging meaning you can brush the protection on at any time in the day, even over make-up. This sunscreen contains only natural physical sunblock and helps prevent sunburn, skin damage, freckling, and uneven discoloration.
Remove cap and tap the brush lightly against your skin to release the SPF 30 or 45 powder. Use every day either on its own, over moisturiser or make-up on your face, hands and decollete. Reapply every couple of hours or as needed. To close - pull from the bottom until the brush sheath is released and the brush is enclosed. Replace cap and push bottom until brush returns to its original position. It can also be applied to the scalp for sun protection and to absorb excess oil.

Instant protection without the greasiness of suntan lotion. Instant mineral can be applied over your regular moisturiser, meaning no disruption to your skin care regime while you enjoy the sun.

SPF 45: silica, aluminum hydroxide, stearic acid, polymethylsilsesquioxane, triethoxycaprylylsilane, vitamin a, vitamin e, vitamin c, willow bark extract, water, butylene glycol, chlorphenesin, potassium sorbate, tetrasodium edta.     Not suitable for me as whilst it claims to be transparent is actually very pigmented and unsuitable for my pale skin. The previous blue packaged one used to be fine but can't seem to find this now unfortunately.

    Great product, but packaging could be improved

    I was really excited to try this because of a friend who swears by it and keeps one in every bag. Growing up in tropical climate with strong sunshine all year round, I've been searching for the perfect sunscreen for years. The Instant Mineral SPF 45 by Peter Thomas Roth is very nearly this. The product is a lovely light translucent powder that does not leave a greasy residue like so many other sunscreens. It's easy as pie to apply over makeup and is completely colourless. However, you have to pull the bottom to retract the brush head when you put the cap on and sometimes this releases powder everywhere. It's also a bit messy to apply for the same reason. I've also not figured out how to clean the brush - I can only imagine that if you reapply the product constantly throughout the day on grimy skin, the brush must be a breeding ground for all sorts of nasties! All in all a very good product, but the packaging is in need of a bit of fine-tuning!
