Can you imagine a world without Benefit? The iconic brand has slowly but surely become a household name, its make up products a staple in just about every make up bag, and its eye-catching packaging the stuff of legend.

Benefit was founded back in 1976, when identical twins Jean and Jane Ford flipped a coin to decide whether to open a casserole café or a make up shop. Thankfully the latter was the winner, and The Face Place was established. The aim was to offer women the chance to buy skin care and cosmetics that mimicked the style of big label brands, but with a much smaller price tag.

The company was rebranded to Benefit in 1989, and over the years it has grown and developed into the brand we all know and love today. It now has more than 3,000 Brow Bars and 85 Boutiques worldwide, spanning 59 countries across five continents! World domination, complete.

In 2008, the twins’ daughters and nieces Maggie & Annie joined the ranks and have been helping to spread the legacy – after all, they have beauty in their DNA!

In 2015, Benefit introduced the Bold is Beautiful program dedicated to supporting charities that empower women and girls through education and mentorship, access to wellness and economic self-sufficiency. Since 2015 they’ve raised over $23 million!
