I was always amazed when I watched my mum applying her make up or doing her skin care regime in the evening – she definitely has a lot to answer for! As a teen, I was constantly following all of the trends and would drool over pages of products that I couldn’t afford – so I set about making my own (with varying degrees of success). I studied and worked within the fashion industry from the age of 16, and make up, skin and hair were a huge part of creating a catwalk-ready look. I would assist with the creative direction of the look but never had the scope to execute my beauty vision – this gave me the push to move more towards artistry. I wanted to express my creativity my way, and I always learn best from a ‘hands on’ approach so, as a freelance Make Up Artist, I honed many skills by religiously trying to replicate YouTube tutorials. Since joining Cult Beauty, I’ve continued to build on my knowledge and learn about new brands and breakthrough ingredients – it's not an exaggeration to say we learn something new every day. My beauty secret is creating your own tinted moisturiser. Just put a small drop of your foundation and a small drop of moisturiser in the palm of your hand and mix for a quick and lightweight 'no make up, make up' look
