  • Ilcsi Sour Cherry & Blackthorn Gel Mask

Image 1 of 1

Targeted towards those with dehydrated, dulled or irritated complexions, the fructose and fruit acid content of Ilcsi’s Sour Cherry Gel Mask works to nourish, revitalise, tone and tighten skin – relieving inflammation and reducing puffiness, while antioxidants and bioflavonoids help preserve skin’s youthful ‘glow’. Fruit enzymes work to loosen dulling dead skin cells – gently resurfacing to restore radiance – while iron-rich Blackthorn helps improve microcirculation, to accelerate cell regeneration whilst enhancing elasticity. An astonishingly effective (certified organic) treatment, this is the ultimate skin ‘pick-me-up’ (especially when stored in the fridge for added cooling benefit).
Apply a thin layer to clean, damp skin (steam from a warm shower is great pre-mask). Leave on for 10 to 15 mins. Remove by gently sweeping away with damp cotton wool or a damp muslin cloth.
Ilcsi’s Sour Cherry & Blackthorn Gel Mask might make you look (superficially) like you’ve contracted measles, but don’t be deterred by the jam-like consistency and ‘day-of-the-dead-esque’ aesthetic – the glow-enhancing results are inversely proportional to your short-term, child-terrifying appearance. Trust us, the beauty benefits are supernatural! Ilcsi became a cult brand when it was voted a member of the international ‘Superbrands’ a few years ago – it has since been virtually impossible to get hold of (much to the dismay of its legions of devoted fans)… until now! Our former bestseller is back and better than ever, so what are you waiting for? Dip your face into this so-natural-you-could-eat-it face mask, and try not to spread it on your toast…

Aqua, Prunus Cerasus Fruit Extract, Prunus Spinosa Fruit Extract, Mel, Glycerin, Algin, Parfum, Alcohol, Chondrus Crispus Powder (Carrageenan), Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Salicylate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Salicylic Acid, CI 75470 (Carmine), Beetroot Red, Citric Acid

    Emergency de-puffing mask
    5 out of 5 stars
If you only drink socially, but are a very social person... or eat a lot of salty foods, or lack decent sleep, or have allergies, or have been recently dumped by a cad or cadette, you will be familiar with what I call morning blub face. It's that all over puffiness that centres around the eyes. THIS mask is your friend. Keep it in the fridge (maybe with a sticker to stop midnight toast feasts from going rather expensively wrong) and smear a thin layer on your face. Not only with your skin look brighter and more even (for better make up application) after 10 minutes, this takes down the puffiness. I'm not sure why, but it does. YAY!

    Bring back the old formulation
    3 out of 5 stars
This used to be one of HG - I've repurchased at least three or four times, but this last round was quite disappointing. It used to come in a nice glass jar and tingled slightly upon application and made me *glow* afterwards (don't ask me how, because I've never had another mask manage that). They repackaged it in plastic and did something to the formula - it still smells lovely, but no longer seems to do much. For what it's worth, it's never broken me out or done anything bad to my skin in either formulation, but I miss the old version.
