Soothing and calming nighttime treat
5A tiny bit goes along way , put on last thing at night the lovely smell and gorgeous texture on the skin are a perfect pre sleep prep for the senses and skin. Pricey but worth itÂ

My favourite cleanser

Not what I expected
2The scent of the balm is lovely but this is all what I like. The balm melted on the skin and it's too oily for me. It doesn't remove the makeup, you need to use another one after all.

Love this especially in the winter!
5I have combination skin, with dry patches on my chin and cheeks. This cleanser is my choice for a first/second cleanse when I used not too much makeup, and otherwise, I use an eye makeup remover first to get all mascara off. I think it smells divine, I love the relaxing feeling it gives my cleanse. It leaves my skin is all warmed up for the next step, often I use the pressed serum or winter oil after this cleanser.

Beautiful balm
5This is THE most gorgeous cleansing balm I have ever used. Arrived yesterday , I used it this evening and I absolutely love it. I didn't want to take it off as it felt so lovely and luxurious on my skin. This is a truly premium product that I would only use as a second cleanse and never to take off my make up ( that would be sacrilege). It's beautiful. I have tried several expensive cleansing balms and this is my favourite. I can see me buying this again. I was really looking forward to using this product and it did not disappoint. Love it. If this balm is anything to go by I will definitely be buying more products from the De Mamiel range.

5Amazing cleansing balm. I can't believe I didn't try it before! Yes, it's expensive but it's truly such a lush ritual. I can't believe people are trying to use it for makeup removing......with such gorgeous ingredients why wasting it for makeup! I use it as a second cleanse and take my time to give myself a mini massage Really wanna try more de mamiel stuff now!!

Nothing compares to this
5I thought, that after 5 repurchases, this was due a review. This cleansing balm is incredible. I love the consistency, it works very well to remove make up (never waterproof due to very sensitive eyes), my sensitive skin loves it and the smell is divine. Also, I use it on everything: scabs, sunburn, on a fresh tattoo to heal it very well, on fresh operation scars that have improved tremendously and I often use it as a night cream after a good peel. Now I can't live without the smell at night anymore. I will repurchase it FOREVER! Btw, using a tiny amount is enough. Despite using it every day and for numerous tasks, I go through one pot in about 4-5 months. I've used other cleansing balms (Emma Hardie, REN, skin&tonic, Moa, Sunday Riley) during the last years (and I like Oskia's Renaissance cleansing gel in the morning), but nothing compares to the healing, sensual properties of this product.

Heavenly scent but...
3I would really have love to rate this with 5 stars, but sadly, I can't. First the good things: this must be the most beautifully packaged cleanser I had yet, I love the balck and sea blue design and the heavy black jar. What I also love is the absolutely fantastic scent with this blend of essential oil. It really does feel like the most luxurious organic spa scent. It's relaxing, uplifting and gets more and more wonderful while using it. I also loved the melting texture of this. You put it onto your face and it really melts into your skin and it'spure joy to massage it in for a while. Now for the down points for me: first of, this does not really cleanse off mascara very well. I'm only using non-waterproof mascara which goes off very lightly normaly, but no matter how long I massage this balm on, it just leaves a black panda mass all around my eyes and I have to clean it away in a second step with another cleanser. And the main down point for me is that yes, it does leave the skin very clean after washing it off but it really is quite harsh for sensitive and dry skin. After the second use and after I dried my skin after washing, it was super dry and so tight it almost hurt. I used it just once a day at night for four days and got red dry and slightly flaky patches on my cheeks and around my mouth. As I haven't changed anything else in my skincare routine lately it can just be the de Mamiel balm I'm afraid. This definitely isn't suitable very much for dry skin types I guess. So, this is a wonderfully scented cleansing balm but I know just use it once a week for intensive cleansing.
