W3ll People Expressionist Mascara - Review

Clean cosmetics often get bad press - usually dubiously clothed (packaging's important people!), going 'green' will, nine times out of ten, involve some sacrifice; whether its colour-payoff, texture (or Instagram-ibility), there's usually a list of 'cons' to contradict the chemical-free goodness. But, not any longer...

Developed by three industry experts - a pro make up artist (and former creative consultant for NARS), a cosmetic dermatologist and self-confessed 'tree-hugging entrepreneur' - {W3LL PEOPLE} is a pioneering new breed of performance-led, organic make up, for those who want 'clean' without compromise.

Completely free from oft-controversial and potentially harmful ingredients - you won't find any artificial colours, fragrances, parabens, phthalates, sulphates, silicones, dimethicones, petroleum or talc (the list of no-nos is extensive) - this stunning, all-natural range is amazing. I'm rarely swayed by 'eco' brand-positioning, preferring efficacy over ethics - but {W3LL PEOPLE} permits me to have both.

W3ll People Expressionist Mascara Review

Their {Expressionist Mascara} is the jewel in their crown. It's notoriously difficult to get a 'green' mascara right - but this one ticks all boxes. Jet-black and glossy, it lengthens, separates and volumises with mineral pigments and cellulose microspheres - which act in lieu of fibres which can flake and irritate the eyes.

"Mascara was the last 'conventional' product I let go of on my natural journey", said Shirley - the creative third of W3LL PEOPLE's beauty dream team. "We are not just naturalists with good intentions - we mean business", and coming from a professional beauty background, Shirley knows better than most the importance of getting mascara just right. {Expressionist} has a firm but flexible, injection-moulded rubber brush, which grips and coats each eyelash for naturally fluttering fringes - without the faff of falsies.
