MEET RUBY HAMMER
Born in Nigeria to Bangladeshi parents, Ruby immigrated to the UK when she was 12 and quickly became fascinated by the power of make up. During her teenage years she worked on the shop floor of Harrods and used her employee discount to buy prestigious make up and experiment at home. Her life was changed from a serendipitous encounter at work where Ruby was invited to work as an assistant to a leading make up artist opening the door for her to assist at London Fashion Week. Going on to work with designers such as John Galliano and Jasper Conran, as well as on the faces of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford. In 2007 Ruby was awarded an MBE for her contribution to the cosmetics industry.
