Growing up, my mum had an incredible collection of high-end make up, fragrance, hair care… she spent hours pampering in the bathroom and I loved that she talked me through each step. I performed as a singer and actor from an early age so was fully immersed in the world of stage make up and constantly looking for products and brands that would really deliver. I began my career in beauty as a Make Up Artist, creating looks on sets for photoshoots and stage performances. As my knowledge grew, I came to understand that the key to a great make up look is a good canvas — that's when I started researching and experimenting with skin care. Since joining The Cult in 2017, I’ve had the privilege of being trained by some of the world’s most amazing brands and nothing makes me happier than being able to share my knowledge! My top beauty secret? Keep your facial roller in the fridge for an extra de-puffing effect in the morning.

    EradiKate Salicylic Acid Blemish Treatment

Finally a blemish serum I can use...
I sure do have temperamental skin, with very angry hormonal breakouts at times, but also my skin is very sensitive and can be quite reactive so I have been forced to stay away from any heavy-duty serums and toners. This was until Kate rocked my world with this serum because it has all of the good things I'm always looking for when tackling breakouts: salicylic acid & retinyl combined with ingredients that will keep my skin's microbiome happy: brown seaweed and micro-green algae. It can be applied all over the face (which is great as spot treatments are so annoying on large areas), and believe it or not but it has not dried out my skin nor caused any reaction even with daily use (always at PM!). It has significantly limited the number of breakouts and improved how fast they fade and also works on the existing scars - thanks to the retinyl! Kate, you have my eternal thanks I will never allow myself to run out of this.

Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol II

    Mermaid dreams
I am blown away by the colours on this palette, every single swatch made me *almost* choke and I don't think that the pictures are doing them justice! A lot of the shimmer shades are actually duochrome (A4 being my favourite - a magnificent lilac to gold). Extremely pigmented but still easy to blend, it allowed me to do simple looks (C1 + C5 + E4 + E5) and to go all in with the neon shades. I honestly want to buy the other two just because these colours are so unique and I don't own a palette I can compare this to.

    Renaissance Cleansing Gel

    Lovely gentle cleanser
I love the renaissance mask and I was hoping to love this cleanser too! The renaissance cleanser hasn't failed me, it smells divine (just like the mask), has some exfoliating properties but is not harsh or stripping. I love that the texture is gel-like when you pump it out, but it then becomes an oil once massaged onto the skin (great for lymphatic draining massages) and it is easy to rinse off as it emulsifies as soon as it gets in contact with water. I have combo/acne-prone skin and this hasn't caused me to break out either! Thank you Oskia.

    The Restless Circle

Not entirely convinced on this one...
I was SO excited to finally try a pre-shampoo mask that doesn't need to be applied on damp hair, which is revolutionary in my opinion. First thing I'm not too sure about is the overwhelming fragrance, not that the scent is unpleasant but it does smell strong, some people do like this but personally, I'm not a fan of powerful scents. I have a lot of hair and the little pouch was enough for two generous application which is great for the price. It definitely made my hair softer, but my very dry and porous mane needs a lot more attention to be fully quenched so sadly this was not moisturising enough for me. I will try other products from the brand because I like the ingredients that they use and their ethos, this one, unfortunately, was just not for me.
