The beauty world has fallen back in love with peach - but no longer is it reserved for apples (fruit joke!). Make up artists are extolling the greyness-dispelling virtue of this perfect (usually springtime) hue.
BECCA's {Shimmering Skin Perfector} in 'Opal' is a stunning, fuzzy orange-rose that looks perfect on cheeks, but even better as a luminising primer - buffed all over skin to lend some warmth without the frankly-fake associations of a bronzer. It's also gorgeously flattering for olive and black complexions, which can look a little sallow or dulled during cold winter months. Subtly pearlescent (believe us when we tell you this is suuuuuu-btle) this grants an immediate, lit-from-within glow - lifting your complexion to help make you 'look alive' in moments.
Just use a buffing brush (ZOEVA's flat-topped {Buffer Brush} is ideal) to apply and blend a bead of peach illuminator all over clean, hydrated skin - using small circular motions to diffuse the pigment properly and minimise the risk of tell-tale tidelines. Then either follow with your favourite tinted moisturiser/foundation, or just dab a few dots of concealer and prepare for a deluge of 'you look well' comments from envious, grey-faced co-workers.
It even works around the eye area - peach neturalises blue-toned shadows to disguise dark circles and help you fake awake. And let's not forget its original purpose - as a cheek-popping, highlighting, youth-boosting flush (just apply with your fingers and blur).
Try something gel-textured or creamy to impart a dewy, pinched-your-cheeks effect - far better than powder for winter-chapped skin. Just pat repeatedly to get that gorgeous, 'diffused' look and emulate the 'glowing from within' effect we all aspire to.
