Just okay
It's a beautiful colour but it was a bit too greasy for my liking.

One of my staples
This is such a good product, I use it all over my face on it's own when I don't want to wear a more covering base, or mixed with a foundation. It smells lovely and doesn't make you look overly shiny/glittery, just dewy and a bit of shimmer. Highly recommend!

No. 4 Sunny Flash
My skin is on the drier side and I have a medium warm olive skin tone.
This product receives either eternal-love-declaration-reviews or completely the opposite. It’s probably not for everyone.
No. 4 is for medium/medium-deep skin tones but it works for almost everyone (not fair skin), that desire that typical French bonne mine :)
Go definitely with the mini/travel size of Sunny Flash for the first time in order to find out if the scent is for you. It’s very concentrated and goes a long way. If you don’t intent to use it undiluted as a daily base or to highlight/tan only sone parts, the travel size is definitely the better solution.
It has the typical By Terry signature rose scent that is quite strong and not everyone’s cup of tea. I like it very much since it’s pleasant, different from any other rose scented products I’ve used and I t seems genuine. It’s a scent that lights my mood.
I use it alone for a no make-up look or under the foundation either on the entire face or only where I want to achieve a sun kissed, dewy effect.
It looks awesome under a sheer foundation or a skin tint (I use Westman Atelier or Kosas).
Since no.4 is quite dark, I use it pure when at least a bit tanned or when I want to create a sun kissed look.
On medium-tan/medium-deep complexions it can be simply used as a CC serum with a lit-from-within glow but being a medium (on the lighter side) I need to be careful to not exaggerate.
When my skin looks more pale and dull, I love the nice colour it gives me when mixed with my moisturizer or added to the foundation. It evens out the skin tone in a very light, impercettibile way or also darkens the foundation a bit, while making it more radiant and light reflecting.
It doesn’t always work layered with other products. I still haven’t found out when/why it pills. None so ever it’s never as dramatic as having to wash it off and reapply everything from the start.
The application with my fingers like with a serum works best for me. Usually I don’t let the primer or moisturiser penetrate my skin completely applying it right after in a fast manner in order to spread a very thin layer all over the face without exaggerating and/or creating patches.
When applying it on my colar bones or whole décolleté, the By Terry body brush or the kabuki, usually used for the tanning tea, come both very handy.
What I like the most about this product is the versatility. I can use it in many ways (even as a highlighter for instance) due to the soft sheen that never seems too much and the subtle color correction. It’s subtle and natural though. Don’t expect it to be a color corrector tackling the bigger issues. That’s the job of the lighter colours.
