It’s safe to say the copy team all have their favourite beauty and self-care ‘thing’ — whether that’s the brand they can convince even the biggest cynic of or knowing the science behind every ingredient like the back of their hand (we’re looking at your Nat), we all have something we wax lyrical about. One thing we can all agree on is that {scent} is usually the first thing we notice: ‘Good morning… Oh my, what on Earth are you wearing today?!’, it’s so frequent, it’s almost a ritual. So, one can only imagine we pretty much flew off our seats to try some spring-ready scents, from flamboyant florals and powerful musks to downright seductive scents, read on to find out what we will be wearing into the sunny days ahead.

BOY SMELLS COWBOY KUSH EAU DE PARFUM

I’ll kick us off with an old flame of mine. Having been in a long-time love affair with Boy Smells’ {Cowboy Kush} candle, it was no surprise that this was love-at-first-whiff. Never a brand to hold back, Boy Smells have made a name for themselves creating deep and powerful scents, and their fragrances follow suit; this is the type of perfume that you apply a spritz in the morning and are still being stopped in the street by 9pm. Think: deep, musky with a hint of that kushty goodness. It perfectly falls in line with Boy Smells’ ethos of being genderless, hitting notes of sultry flirtatiousness regardless of how you identify.

AESOP ERÉMIA EAU DE PARFUM

“If you’re anything like me and you take deep breaths during your spring stroll through that one park in your area filled with endless fields of green, then this is the fragrance for you. Aesop’s {Erémia} smells like a sense-exciting combination of sun-warmed greenery and freshness. Almost like nature’s ASMR in a bottle, this scent is dappled with a slight spiciness that’ll definitely make you say “oooo” and draw you into its aromatic web of luxury. Does it pass the “Who smells so good?” test, you ask? Oh, absolutely!” Precious, Junior Copywriter

TWO BOTTLES OF KAYALI'S BURNING CHERRY PERFUME SURROUNDED BY CHERRIES

HUDA BEAUTY KAYALI LOVEFEST BURNING CHERRY 48

“Want to smell like a sexy minx but also a super sweet bae? Kayali’s {Lovefest Burning Cherry} is the perfume for you. The initial cherry notes are strong when sprayed, but after 30 seconds the perfume dries down to reveal a more musky, woody scent that’s such a juxtaposition to the sweetness. In love with this cherry bomb.” Rina, Copy Intern

FUGAZZI FRAGRANCES ORANGE CRUSH EAU DE PARFUM

“I’ve always been partial to a citrus fragrance — particularly in the spring months when I crave juicy, fresh scents that linger on sun-drenched skin without crossing into the territory of heady, overwhelming warmth. So, unsurprisingly, I was thrilled when Fugazzi’s {Orange Crush Eau de Parfum} made its way across my desk and into my collection. It’s zingy while remaining sexy, bright while holding on to soft woody notes (oh-so mysterious) — basically, it's the holy grail of spring scents.” Chloe, Senior Copywriter

JO LOVES COBALT PERFUME AGAINST A BLUE BACKGROUND

JO LOVES A FRAGRANCE - COBALT PATCHOULI & CEDAR

“Imagine you’re walking down the street on a crisp summer morning, the sun is shining, a musky haze wafts through the air with the refreshing zest of grapefruit and you can almost feel the Grecian sun on your skin. With every spritz of this woody, sultry fragrance I’m transported to my fragrance ‘happy place’ — the perfect balance between fresh citrus, intoxicating woody notes and fresh (not powdery!) florals. Essentially, if you want to smell like a delectable passer-by then buy this…” Natalie, Junior Copywriter

MEMO PARIS DISCOVERY KIT

“Never have I ever tried a Memo Paris fragrance (much to my own dismay) but this was the perfect way to get acquainted! For a discovery set, the packaging feels pleasantly luxe, and I love that they dedicated a space to sharing the story behind each unique scent. I tend to gravitate towards dark, woody and spicy notes so ‘African Leather’ and ‘Iberian Leather’ were an instant hit, and the instantly recognisable ‘Marfa’ won me over with its not-so-sweet floral notes underpinned by white musk. With seven scents to discover, I have no doubt at least one (if not more!) will tempt you to buy the full size!” Nasreen, Junior Copywriter

MAISON MARGIELA REPLICA BEACH WALK

“Like sun in a scent, Maison Margiela’s {Beach Walk} has gotten me through the winter months with its creamy and tropical notes of coconut milk, bergamot and musk; it really does make me feel like I’m strolling barefoot in the sand. I can’t wait to continue wearing it now that spring is fast approaching! Even if the weather doesn’t deliver, it’ll feel sunny wherever I am…” Beth, Senior Copywriter
